Amazing...have not heard this preached before...you are encouraged to freely share this...
2 Peters 3:8 "Nevertheless, do not let this one fact escape you, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day."
In Genesis, the bible tells us that Adam, when he was created in Eden was later to be put in the garden of Eden which the Lord God planted east of Eden to tend, guard and keep it. Sounds like work.
Gen 2:16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, You may freely eat of every tree of the garden;
Gen 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and blessing and calamity you shall not eat, for in the daythat you eat of it you shall surely die.
Later, Eve, after some conversation with the serpent. (Adam, all this while was beside her but quiet...)
Gen 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good (suitable, pleasant) for food and that it was delightful to look at, and a tree to be desired in order to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate; and she gave some also to her husband, and he ate.
Adam? didn't die in one day (man's day) but the bible tells us...
Gen 5:5 So all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years; and he died.
Adam, however, "in the day" (Lord's day) surely died!
